I bought the processor from MemoryPig and the memory elsewhere. Anyway, the product arrived fast and in perfect shape. It must have been an overnight delivery, even though I didn't pay for it. When I installed it with the some new memory I got, the machine is smokin’. These days it is rare that you find a computer that is worth upgrading with new CPU &/or RDRAM (particularly this RAMBUS type), but Dell makes a quality product and one that is upgradeable, at least this Dimension 8200 is. I used to think my laptop was fast, but now I am thinking about seeing what I can keep from loading at startup. Now I am waiting when I’m on the laptop and it used to be the other way around, waiting when I was on the Desktop (Dell). Hang on, here we go.

I'd like to say wholeheartedly, Thank You. I'd been told that the type of RAM I need was too expensive and could not upgrade to a faster processor by several companies. I purchased this processor and 1gb of RAM for a VERY reasonable price. MemoryPig is a God-send for any Dell owner that wants to upgrade an older machine. In 20 minutes, I installed 2 sticks of ram and swapped out the processors. Now my machine is almost as fast as my internet connection!!!! I no longer have that "drag" waiting for programs to load, it's almost immediate. I even made these same comments on my facebook wall for others to read. Thanks again MemoryPig.com
